Via Danubiana aims to create opportunities for the sustainable development of natural and cultural heritage by the communities along the Romanian stretch of the Danube, through the marking of a 1,075-kilometer trail from the river’s entry into Romania to its mouth at the Black Sea.
Whether you want to become a Danube explorer or you represent a company, you can support us in our mission to extend the trail by purchasing a product or package specially created for you.

Individual Donor

You can support the development and upkeep of the Via Danubiana trail by making a recurring donation starting from 50 RON. The funds collected help us document and map new trail sections, conduct field surveys, create signage materials (trail markers, signs, kilometer posts*, etc.), and promote newly charted areas.
You can choose to donate monthly or just once — and we promise to keep you updated on our activities.

By choosing to redirect 3.5% of your income tax to MaiMultVerde, you help us make Romania greener. With this contribution, we will map Danube areas not yet explored for tourism and draft a development plan.
Follow us on Facebook and stay up to date with all our volunteer activities, where you can register along with friends or family. You’ll have the chance to help document the area and participate in trail mapping and marking events. All you have to do is like our Facebook page — and when you see our calls for action, sign up!
Companies and Institutions
With each kilometer marker package you purchase, you support our work to mark new sections of the Via Danubiana trail. Your contribution helps us carry out field documentation (natural, cultural, and tourist attractions), map and develop new routes (custom markers, trail signage), and create a dedicated “Traveler’s Guide” for each Danube-side county.
If you represent a local institution or organization, we can establish a partnership in which we take responsibility for marking new trail segments, while your institution is featured in our communication materials.
*Packages can cover a town, an entire county, or a specific trail section. Costs are calculated based on the number of kilometers covered.
Through Via Danubiana, you can involve your employees in a volunteer activity — from trail clean-ups to restoring floodplain forests where needed — or book a guided tour on one of the already developed trail sections.
By choosing to redirect 20% of your company’s profit tax to MaiMultVerde, you help make Romania greener. With these funds, we will map Danube areas that have yet to be explored for tourism and develop a sustainable development plan.
